3 Must-Try Fall Tea Recipes

Fall is officially in full force and as the days are getting colder and shorter, it’s time to stop and smell the pumpkin spice and take a minute to appreciate the moments of change. One thing that doesn’t change, that special feeling when curling up with fresh brewed cup of tea on a cool October afternoon.  So, let’s spice up the season with 3 of our must-try tea recipes for fall that you can enjoy at home or on the go in a self-heating travel mug!

1. Homemade Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte

First on our list is a homemade pumpkin spice chai tea latte. It’s that time of year when it seems like there is a pumpkin spice flavor for everything, so why not try a fall take on a tea latte classic? 

You’ll need:

  •  3/4 c. water
  • 2 bags of chai tea
  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative for a dairy-free option
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin puree
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp sugar (or add more to taste)

Directions:

  1. Pour boiling water over tea bags and steep for 5-10 minutes. 
  2. Add milk, pumpkin and remaining ingredients to a small pot and cook over medium to low heat, stirring often until the milk is hot. 
  3. Add milk mixture to the chai tea, and enjoy at the perfect temperature in your Muggo!

Best served at 140°F

2. Spiced Apple Tea

It wouldn’t be fall without apples! This recipe brings a delicious fall twist to your favorite tea! And bonus, this one is brewed on the stove and will leave your house smelling amazing!

You’ll need:

  • 1 c. water
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (you can also use ground cinnamon)
  • 2 tea bags (we recommend black tea but you can use your favorite)
  • 1 c. apple juice
  • 1 tsp. sweetener of your choice
  • 4 apple slices 

Directions:

  1. Bring water, cloves and cinnamon to a boil in a saucepan. 
  2. Turn off the heat and add the tea bags. Cover and steep for 3 minutes. 
  3. Remove the tea bags and add the apple juice and sweetener. 
  4. Bring back to a simmer. Strain out cloves and cinnamon before serving. 
  5. To serve, place apple slices at the bottom of your Muggo, then pour the tea and enjoy!

Best served at 130° F

3 . Ginger Spiced Hibiscus Tea

This one is going to warm you from the inside out and it’s so quick and easy, it’s a great option to steep on the go!

You’ll need:

  • About 1 c. water (enough to fill your Muggo halfway)
  • 1 hibiscus tea bag
  • Fresh, thinly sliced ginger
  • 1/2 c. cranberry juice

Directions:

  1. Place 3 slices of ginger and the tea bag at the bottom of the mug.
  2. Add 1 c. boiling water to fill your Muggo halfway.
  3. Add cranberry juice to fill the mug the rest of the way, about 1/2 c. 
  4. Allow to steep for 3-5 minutes with your Muggo turned off.
  5. Turn your on your Muggo and enjoy for hours at the perfect temperature!
